We rework entire home floorplans, tweak bathroom footprints, or rearrange furniture, all the while keeping in mind your wish list, the interior architecture of the home, and the aesthetic finished look. Space planning isn’t just how things are arranged; we are already envisioning what it will feel like to walk through your new space, and what materials will bring out the best in your home. This is the single most important part of our work. It is so much easier to move walls on paper than it is once the work has begun! Our reimagining of the architectural space drives our entire creative process and delivers the best results you never thought possible.

Design Development

Once the groundwork is created, we move into the process of procuring fun layers of materials to create the finished look. Our holistic approach means that we are thinking about materials that mesh with your personality, needs, and the end vision. Selections made in isolation don’t create a rich overall cohesion, so we approach the selection of design elements as a whole package, and have been thinking of specific materials since the space planning phase! Whether you are lightly renovating and reimagining the furnishings of a room, or we are doing a full gut remodel all the way through to hanging art back on the walls; the design development is an integral part of bringing our amazing vision to life.

Design Documentation

Every renovation has more nuanced elements and decisions than anyone expects (ie. we think about grout lines and showerhead heights so you don’t have to). We will flush out the answer to each decision and address them before any work has begun. Our meticulous documentation and construction drawings are the cornerstone to successful communication during construction. Contractors love to see our documentation. It takes the guess work out of their hands, and they know that we have thought of all the details to avoid delays, errors, and omissions so the project will run more flawlessly.

Design Oversight

Design oversight is an important piece of full service design – we take all the work we have done to create your dream home and shepherd it across the finish line. Your trust is important to us and it is our responsibility to ensure the proper execution of the design we’ve created together. Construction and renovation projects run in the real world, so there are always elements that need to be re-addressed once those walls are opened up. We establish a partnership with your builder and begin communication early. We are on site for certain milestones to make those judgement calls or reassess design elements, and to eliminate any stress to you. Our oversight is solely to make sure the integrity of the design is intact and to avoid costly mistakes. The final step in our work is to make sure the end result is ready for your life!
