A kitchen with 1920's character

These kind-hearted clients reached out to Kith & Kin Interiors with the goal of making their kitchen space work better for their busy family. With three growing boys and a dog, this family had tapped out of their storage space and needed a more functional kitchen.
The original early 1900's house has seen decades of remodels and additions, and we wanted to make sure this kitchen felt like it belonged again. With the clients' agreement, we decided to close off one of the two "front" entrances to the house and utilize the long, narrow space as part of the new kitchen. We were able to create a sizeable pantry with this space, but not just a pantry, a cute coffee area and place to use everyday table top appliances without cluttering the main kitchen. Maybe it's also a space where mom goes to hide from her house of boys for a moment of peace 🙂
With this change, we didn't have to move the sink or range and were able to include a peninsula with seating AND a built in china cabinet with even more storage!

The style of the kitchen really is a classic old farmhouse look with a wall of modern blue penny tile that makes it feel so special and fun. The transformation on this one is really unbelievable!
